Ranch Hand Opportunity
Thank you for your interest in working with Black Leg Ranch. Black Leg Ranch was homesteaded in 1882 and is a 5th generation, working cattle and buffalo operation. We operate with a holistic management approach to improve our bottom line and quality of life. As a ranch hand, you’ll be working directly with our livestock, planting & bailing our cover crops, and doing general maintenance to keep all processes running efficiently. This position requires you to work Monday-Saturday’s (dependent on each season) with flexible time off when needed. There is room to grow professionally here at Black Leg Ranch, with opportunities for potential self-herd management.
Overall, we are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and not afraid to get their hands dirty. Regardless of your skill level, we look happy to hearing from you!

Ranch Family Assistant Opportunity
Thank you for your interest in working with Jayce & Kassy at Black Leg Ranch. Black Leg Ranch was homesteaded in 1882 and is a 5th generation, working cattle and buffalo operation. Jayce manages the diversified livestock for the ranch while Kassy manages the day-to-day operations for Black Leg Ranch Meats. Together, they raise three boys under 3 years old. They have a sweet-hearted two-year old that loves playing with tractors and all the animals on the ranch. The twins are five months old and continuously growing stronger and bigger!
We are looking for someone who loves working with children, while also getting to work on the business side of things. Each week may look a little different, so having someone that is flexible with their time is very important. There is room to grow professionally within the business, by taking on more roles as you begin learning more about the ranch entirely. Overall, we are hoping to have someone be a part of our ranch family and gain the rural experience! This position would be Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday’s when needed. We are flexible with time-off to fit your needs!
